Christy Heaton is a geospatial developer with over 10 years of experience working in the public and private sectors and education. As an organizer of Maptime Seattle and PyLadies Seattle, she promotes public open source adoption of spatial analysis and Python.

About Mariatta

Mariatta is a Python Core Developer and the conference chair of PyCon US 2023 and 2024. She co-hosts the PyPodcats: Hidden Figures of Python, a podcast series highlighting the voices of underrepresented group members in the Python community. For her contributions to the Python community, she received The PSF Community Service Award and is a PSF Fellow member. About Lynn Root

Lynn Root is a Staff Engineer at Spotify and an adjunct professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Engineering. She is a seasoned speaker on building and maintaining distributed systems, and is currently spearheading governance compliance for Spotify's ML/AI platform. Lynn is a global leader of diversity in the Python community, the Chair of the PyLadies Global Council, and a PSF fellow and the former Vice Chair of the PSF's Board of Directors. When her hands are not on a keyboard, they are usually holding a bass guitar.

Luciana Abud is a Senior Product Manager at Microsoft, working on improving the Python development experience in Visual Studio Code. She is passionate about helping make getting started with programming as enjoyable and smooth as possible – and that’s one of the many reasons why she loves Python so much. She loves spending time with her two lovely tuxedo cats.
